Such activities provides a crisp start for the day ahead - showers, breakfast and room inspections  procede the learners’ activity plans, which will include a combination of climbing, high ropes, canoeing, navigation and or general duties which include cooking, cleaning, security, kit storage and distribution.

Whilst at Llanbedr we developed many skills - communication, teamwork and leadership which are key skills that are used in all uniformed services, this is why Llanbedr is a good place to develop skills. It is also good because we get to experience what life is like in a uniformed service. The area surrounding Llanbedr is suitable for navigation training and canoeing I was able to experience both activities as well as high ropes course which helped my teamwork, leadership and communication. I also gained a Bronze award for navigation.
